A group of organizations and individuals who petitioned the federal government to reschedule cannabis nearly nine years ago are now suing the federal government for their delay on a response to the petition. Their lawsuit requests 60 days for a decision or declaration of intent of a decision from the DEA. The groups involved are listed below: The Coalition to Reschedule Cannabis (“CRC”) Americans for Safe Access (“ASA”), Patients out of Time (“POT”), William Britt, Kathy Jordan, Michael Kravitz, and Rick Steeb

Actually, John Gettman filed the first petition to reschedule. He is a former head of NORML and I believe he filed it right after his stint in D.C. as director. Great guy, lawyer, though I won’t hold that against him in this case.
